Sachi Straus is a Chicago-born half-Japanese cat-loving dork on a perpetual hunt to find the best spot for a proper cheeseburger. They are an alum of the Montana State School of Film and Photography (go Bobcats) with a violin focused music minor. They like long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain…

After over a decade of performing in various orchestras, photography has similarly become an exhilarating performance to Sachi as they become the conductor and life becomes the symphony. Just as a conductor leads an ensemble, illuminating each unique section as they interact with one another in harmony, Sachi seeks to follow and capture life’s fleeting moments and all its nuances, as that energy can never be recreated. A piece of music can be played over and over with the same fundamentals but every execution will be different; a photo can be taken over and over but there will be variation even if unnoticed. Sachi is fascinated by these nonreplicable moments.

A die-hard musician and thrill-seeker, Sachi can be found DJ-ing, skiing into creeks, climbing up balconies, dancing to bands they don’t know, or flying over their mountain bike’s handlebars.
